Breton Alejandro Rycroft is an associate in the Hoover Slovacek litigation practice. He represents corporations, landlords, property associations and other businesses in various commercial disputes.
Prior to joining the firm, Rycroft was an associate at a boutique criminal defense firm where he represented clients charged with first time misdemeanor offenses to serious felony offenses. This experience provided Rycroft with extensive trial experience in both county and district courts.
Rycroft worked with Rusty Hardin & Associates, LLP in both Houston and Washington, D.C. He was a member of the Roger Clemens trial team in Washington, D.C. in 2011 and 2012, which successfully resulted in Mr. Clemens’ acquittal.
During law school, Rycroft clerked for the Department of Justice in Washington, D.C., the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Texas, and the Harris County Attorney’s Office. In law school, Rycroft was named best oralist in the Garland Walker Mock Trial Competition. He completed a semester in Santiago, Chile through the California Western School of Law and in Washington, D.C. with the Sandra Day O’Connor Law School at Arizona State University.
Mr. Rycroft was selected by his peers for the Texas Super Lawyers list of Rising Stars for 2017 and 2018. This is a designation given to young lawyers recognized by their colleagues as outstanding in their respective practice areas.
