Michael J. Schofield Senior Counsel

Michael J. Schofield serves as a commercial litigation attorney for Hoover Slovacek focusing on defending Texas businesses from commercial and tort lawsuits, but he is also a civil servant. Involved in Harris County politics for nearly 20 years, he has served as on the board of the Harris County Republican Party and was a policy advisor to Governor Rick Perry beginning in 2003.

In 2014, Mr. Schofield was elected to represent Katy’s District 132 in the State House of Representatives.

He remains active in the community as a Life Member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and as a member of the speaker’s bureau of Texans for Lawsuit Reform. Mr. Schofield is an active member at St. John Vianney Catholic Church.
