Briana L. Lans is an associate attorney in the Hoover Slovacek landlord/tenant group with a focus on real estate litigation, forcible detainer lawsuits, and civil litigation. Daughter to a first-generation Dominican mother, she takes pride in being fluent in Spanish.
Born and raised in South Brunswick, New Jersey, Briana obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Justice Studies from Montclair State University in Montclair, New Jersey. At MSU, she gained insight on the intricacies of the justice system and grew passionate about leadership and litigation. Shortly thereafter, she obtained her Juris Doctor from Florida A&M University, College of Law in Orlando, Florida. Prior to joining the firm, Briana worked as a law clerk for a Criminal Defense and Family Law firm in Orlando, Florida. Upon relocating to Houston, Texas, she worked as a Staff Attorney for the Neighborhood Defender Service of Texas, in Harris County, on the landlord/tenant defense team.
She has unique experience in Criminal Defense, Family Law, Civil Litigation and Real Estate Litigation from both a Plaintiff and Defense Attorney viewpoint.
