Daniel Edmunds joins Hoover Slovacek after serving 7 years on active duty in the United States Marine Corps. In the Marines, Mr. Edmunds served as a prosecutor, general counsel, and warfighting instructor. Mr. Edmunds gained first and second chair trial experience in prosecuting a wide range of felonies, including kidnapping, sexual assault, larceny, fraud, and drug distribution. As general counsel, Mr. Edmunds was the senior legal advisor to military commanders, ensuring compliance in areas such as Criminal Law, Ethics, Fiscal Law, and Employment Law. Mr. Edmunds deployed in 2015 in support of Operation Koa Moana 15.3 where he advised on International Law, Maritime Law, and Operational Law. Mr. Edmunds remains a member of the Inactive Ready Reserve.
Mr. Edmunds is a native of Knoxville, Tennessee. He graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 2008 and the University of Memphis School of Law in 2011. Mr. Edmunds is licensed to practice law in Texas and Tennessee, and is a member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas, and the Tennessee Bar Association.
