Daniel Edmunds has substantial experience representing residential landlords in a wide variety of fair housing issues. He has advised and represented landlords and property managers at every step of the fair housing process from receipt of reasonable accommodation requests, to the investigation of complaints, and in litigation before judicial and administrative courts. Daniel Edmunds joined Hoover Slovacek after serving 7 years on active duty in the United States Marine Corps. In the Marines, Mr. Edmunds served as a prosecutor, general counsel, and warfighting instructor. Mr. Edmunds gained first and second chair trial experience in prosecuting a wide range of felonies, including kidnapping, sexual assault, larceny, fraud, and drug distribution. As general counsel, Mr. Edmunds was the senior legal advisor to military commanders, ensuring compliance in areas such as Equal Opportunity, Criminal Law, Ethics, Fiscal Law, and Employment Law.
Mr. Edmunds is a native of Knoxville, Tennessee. He graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 2008 and the University of Memphis School of Law in 2011. Mr. Edmunds is licensed to practice law in Texas and Tennessee, and is a member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas, and the Tennessee Bar Association.
