Daniel Edmunds has substantial experience representing residential and commercial landlords and managers on a wide variety of issues they face in their day-to-day operations, including commercial litigation, regulatory compliance, legislative affairs, and transactional matters. He has advised and represented landlords and property managers at every step of the litigation process from pre-suit demands and investigations through trial before federal, state and administrative courts.
Daniel Edmunds joined Hoover Slovacek after serving 7 years on active duty in the United States Marine Corps. In the Marines, Mr. Edmunds served as a prosecutor, general counsel, and warfighting instructor. Mr. Edmunds gained first and second chair trial experience in prosecuting a wide range of felonies, including kidnapping, sexual assault, larceny, fraud, and drug distribution. As general counsel, Mr. Edmunds was the senior legal advisor to military commanders, ensuring compliance in areas such as Operational Law, Ethics, Fiscal Law, and Administrative Law. As a warfighting instructor he served as a basic training instructor, responsible for teaching a broad range of tactical fundamentals and instilling discipline and core military values in newly commissioned Marine Officers.
Mr. Edmunds is a native of Knoxville, Tennessee. He graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 2008 and the University of Memphis School of Law in 2011. Mr. Edmunds is licensed to practice law in Texas and is a member of the American Bar Association and the State Bar of Texas.
