Giovanni Perez Associate

Giovanni Perez is an associate attorney in the Hoover Slovacek litigation practice with a focus on commercial dispute resolution and litigation.

Prior to joining the firm, Giovanni interned with the Honorable Magistrate Judge Peter Bray in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas. Giovanni also served as a legislative staffer in the Texas House of Representatives during the 85th Session of the Texas Legislature, in which he staffed the Texas House Committee on Energy Resources. He subsequently served as a legal consultant for a Houston-based independent oil and gas exploration and production company, where he advised on state and federal energy regulation compliance, corporate policies, and transactional matters.

Giovanni graduated from the University of Houston Law Center where he served as a General Articles Editor for the Houston Business & Tax Law Journal. During his second and third year of law school, Giovanni also served as a Legal Writing Fellow in which he assisted students on legal research and writing assignment and exercises, offered support to professors with legal research and writing assignments, and conducted student workshops to aid students in developing and advancing their legal writing skills.

Giovanni received his B.A. from the University of Houston, where he was a recipient of the UH Academic Excellence Scholarship.
