He has drafted and reviewed a myriad of different contracts and documents, including purchase and sale agreements, leases, development agreements, construction contracts, cell/communication tower agreements, easements, restrictive covenants, employment contracts, management contracts, tenancy-in-common agreements, franchise and license agreements, confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements, corporate/LLC and other entity documents, independent contractor agreements, brokerage agreements, loan and security documents, asset and stock sale agreements, shareholder agreements, operating agreements and partnership agreements.
Mr. Savage is known and respected in the legal and business communities as a shrewd and experienced legal mind and as an innovative deal maker. He maintains an eye on the practical and business aspects (in addition to the legal aspects) in addressing clients’ transactions, issues and disputes.
Mr. Savage serves on the firm’s executive committee and is the senior partner in the firm’s real estate section.

- Acquisition of substantially all of the assets of several industrial subsidiaries of large manufacturing concern for large industrial manufacturing company.
- Negotiating and drafting construction contracts, prosecuting and defending M&M lien claims, and dealing with other construction related issues, with regard to construction of projects (including student housing projects at a number of state universities, high-end apartment and condominium and townhome projects, high-end custom homes, and other types of projects).
- Negotiation and drafting of cell/communications tower agreements for property owners with large carriers (including Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile); negotiation of colocation agreements for tower owners with carriers, and negotiation and drafting of contracts for sales of cell/communications towers to large tower owners/buyers (including Crown Castle and American Tower).
- Handling apartment, retail, office and mixed-use developments and transactions, including purchases, sales, financing, equity infusions, easements, utility matters, and creation of legal entities.
- Handling work-outs, negotiations and settlements of distressed mortgage loans for lenders and borrowers.
- Handling construction, mezzanine and permanent financing for lenders and borrowers.
- Handling dispute negotiations, mediations, and settlements of complex disputes, disagreements and claims.
