Jonathan Clark joined the Hoover Slovacek in 2005 and specializes in the representation of property owners’ associations both as a litigator and as a bankruptcy attorney. Since joining the firm, he has had the opportunity to represent multiple property owners’ associations in all aspects of their business operations, including assessment collection, deed restriction enforcement, condemnation proceedings, tax proceedings, bankruptcy proceedings, governance and numerous other litigation related matters.
Mr. Clark obtained a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Texas A&M University in 1992, where he participated in the University Honors Program. He received his law degree from Southern Methodist University School of Law in 1995. He is Board Certified as a specialist in Commercial and Consumer Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
After completing law school, Mr. Clark began his legal career as a litigator for the Harris County District Attorney’s Office. In that capacity, he had the opportunity to first-chair over 70 jury trials including multiple felony cases involving serious criminal offenses. After leaving the District Attorney’s Office, Mr. Clark joined a law firm specializing in collection of debts throughout Texas. As a result, he had the opportunity to conduct trials in multiple counties across the state.
