Lauren A. Burgess is an associate attorney in Hoover Slovacek LLP’s commercial litigation practice, with an emphasis on legal drafting.
Prior to joining the firm, Lauren worked at a family law firm in Houston and graduated from Fordham University School of Law in 2023. While at Fordham, Lauren clerked for a securities and commercial litigation firm, conducted research projects for prominent figures including Zephyr Teachout and James Leitner, and oversaw copy editors as a notes and articles editor for the Fordham International Law Journal.
Lauren has enjoyed writing from a young age and majored in Rhetoric and Writing at the University of Texas where she received special honors, defended her thesis, and completed a minor in business through the McCombs School of Business.
