Patrick Sullivan is a partner in the Hoover Slovacek litigation practices focusing on areas of commercial and residential construction. He also acts as outside general counsel for clients in assessing, monitoring and administrating legal needs.
Mr. Sullivan’s construction related clients include material providers, developers, builders and general contractors. His practice covers all facets of the development and construction process from ground up including subdivision development, infrastructure, and commercial and residential construction, as well as RCLA issues, materialmen’s liens, bond enforcement, construction defects and other related matters. Mr. Sullivan’s clients include homebuilders on a state wide and local basis as well as national steel providers, commercial builders and general contractors.
Mr. Sullivan represents developers and assists them in the administration of developer-controlled homeowner’s owners associations from drafting of restrictive covenants to their enforcement.
In addition to construction matters, Mr. Sullivan has an extensive general civil litigation practice representing clients in business related disputes. He has represented plaintiffs and defendants in all stages of litigation, including through the trial and the appeal process.
As outside general counsel, he provides legal solutions for the business needs of a company ranging from employment law, non-compete issues, protection of proprietary and confidential information, collection disputes and corporate structuring including national and international licensing. He handles national collections for clients and has an extensive local counsel network to handle the local aspect of collection and defense work.
Mr. Sullivan has a working understanding of Bankruptcy Law to assist in collections and enforcement of judgments, including the prevention of dischargeabilty of a debt.
