Vianey Garza Associate

Ms. Garza graduated magna cum laude in 2012 from South Texas College of Law Houston.  Since her graduation, Ms. Garza has focused her practice on bankruptcy law and has represented parties in all aspects of the bankruptcy process.  These clients have included Chapter 7 Trustees, Chapter 11 business debtors, Chapter 7 consumer debtors and creditors.  During her practice Ms. Garza has also prosecuted numerous bench trials in Bankruptcy Court, jury trials in Federal District Court, and drafted numerous appellate briefs on bankruptcy issues.  By representing Chapter 7 trustees and business and consumer debtors, Ms. Garza has obtained a unique perspective of the bankruptcy process which helps her effectively and efficiently manage a bankruptcy case.


During her practice, Ms. Garza has prosecuted complex bankruptcy cases and adversary proceedings to completion.  A rarity in bankruptcy, Ms. Garza second chaired a jury trial in Federal District Court on a fraudulent transfer claim and obtained a favorable verdict for her client.  Ms. Garza has also written several appellate briefs for the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals on various bankruptcy and procedural issues.  In each case, Ms. Garza obtained favorable rulings on the same.
